After a long day of hiking, fitness expert, Ivonete Carothers recommends using a foam roller to do a self-myofascial release of tension which can reduce soreness in muscles. Using the pictures below as a guide, slowly roll through the back, sides and fronts of legs. Roll through the hips and sides of the body as well. As you find tender spots, breathe and hold the pressure on these areas and relax into gravity to allow the weight of the body increase the effect. Follow these quick and easy steps to cook up your very own healthy, Travaasa Break Bars that will help power you through your next hike, adventure or just a long afternoon. What you’ll need: 4 cups of rolled oats 2 cups of steel cut oats 1 cup flax seed 1/2 cup Psyllium Husk 1 1/2 cup water 1 cup agave nectar 2 T cinnamon ground 1 T Allspice 1 T coriander 1 T Nutmeg How to prepare: Start by mixing the rolled oats and steel cut oats together.
