We had a wonderful turnout last Saturday at the Travaasa BBQ Bash, marking the launch of the much anticipated Travaasa Farm and benefitting Foodways Texas an organization founded to preserve, promote and celebrate the diverse food cultures of Texas.
Guests feasted on BBQ from some of the best places in Texas: Snow’s BBQ, The Granary, The Salt Lick and Killen’s BBQ. Texas breweries Hops & Grain, The Granary, St. Arnold’s and Rahr and Sons provided refreshing beers while Deep Eddy Vodka hosted a cocktail hour. Chef Ben Baker and team showcased produce fresh from the farm garden with a green salad, deviled eggs and watermelon.
Guests danced to the Marhsall Ford Swing Band and were also treated to tours of the new farm, including the 2,300 square-foot garden and the chicken coops. The Travaasa Food Truck even made an appearance with debuting its brand new “So Fresh and So Green” wrap.
We’re very excited about the future of the farm, the experiences it will provide to guests and all of the delicious food that will be brought to the table!
