Our on-site experts will guide you through nurturing fitness and wellness activities that aim to cultivate the very best version of yourself. Throughout the month, guests will receive access to May’s nurture-themed activity schedule that is focused around Travaasa’s core pillars:

 

Fitness

  • Enjoy our Nurturing Yoga class that is designed to restore and renew your mind, body and spirit through gentle yoga practice. If you are looking for a more joint-focused yoga class, try our Embrace your Hips and Knees Yoga. With this class you will create more awareness, increase your range of motion, and strengthen the muscles around your joints.
  • Learn the basics of breathing in our meditation introduction class, Nurturing Meditation. This class will go over proper sitting posture and how to properly breathe through a guided meditation with one of our in-house experts.
  • Our Cherishing your Pilates practice will teach you how to develop a strong torso that creates core stability. By the end of this class you will have the skills that will enable you to create a greater range of motion, stronger, more controlled movement and a leaner, more toned physique.

 

Culinary

  • Cook up a storm in our Comfort Foods culinary demonstration. One of our experts will show you healthy ways to prepare those old-time favorites that your mother used to make.

 

Spa & Wellness

  • In our Nurture your Feet class you’ll learn that your feet are an extremely vital part of your musculoskeletal system. Our experts will teach you how to massage your feet and strengthen the muscles that are necessary for good posture and alignment.
  • Connect with Mother Earth and use your breath to direct healing energy of life throughout your body in our Nurturing Breath class.
  • Journaling is a therapeutic practice that is used to open your heart and mind to your inner self. In our Embrace Journaling class you will learn how to express yourself and how you relate with others through the therapeutic practice of journaling.

 

Culture

  • Learn the art of lei making from our Makana Team in our May Lei Celebration class. You will craft a ti leaf, feather or shell lei to take home and cherish for years to come.
  • Try something new in our Embrace and Dance class. Our experts will teach basic salsa steps, how to properly lead, turn and some beginner to intermediate patterns to prepare you to go salsa dancing with confidence!
