At our Travaasa Austin property, we are now taking the “farm-to-table” concept to heart with our very own 3.25 acre farm. Located across from the property on the edge of the Balcones Canyonlands Preserve in beautiful Texas Hill Country, we are developing a selection of produce grown on property to supply the kitchen and provide guests education about organic farming practices through additional programming. New to the Travaasa team, our Farm Manager, Kim Grabosky, has been working on the project since November and is aiming to grow the highest quality produce in our region using all organic practices.

“It is a dream project and I would love to share it with you,” says Kim. “I am very excited about cultivating the farm here at Travaasa Austin. The soil has a lot of fertility and is located in a gorgeous valley at the base of a Texas canyon. We will be growing a multitude of vegetables, perennial fruits, herbs, and cute and edible flowers. Additionally there will be over 100 hens of six different breeds laying fresh eggs for the kitchen,” said Kim. “As the operation evolves I will also be looking to incorporate native Texas honeybees and mushrooms. I am incorporating permaculture methods of farming in to the production at every opportunity I see.”

In addition to farm-to-table experience that Travaasa Farms will bring to guests, programming will be added around the five brand pillars: Adventure, Culinary, Culture, Fitness, and Wellness. New equine experiences have already been introduced to the property with horseback riding lessons and trail rides.
