It’s a new year and everyone everywhere is already struggling to keep new year’s resolutions. People will promise themselves to spend less money, be more positive, be more active … but the most popular resolution? To eat better and lose weight.

For a little  incentive, Travaasa Austin Chef, Martha Pincoffs, has put together a recipe for a delicious Raw Kale Salad that will surly help in keeping all your resolutions this year … or at least one of them.

 

What you need: 

1 bunch dyno kale

3 T toasted sesame seeds

1 T hot sesame oil

juice from one lemon

dash cayenne

tamari to taste

 

Preparation: 

Rinse kale and chop into bite sized pieces. Toast sesame seeds in dry pan over medium heat. Combine ingredients in a container with a lid and shake it! This salad gets better as it sits in the fridge and the flavors meld!
