HANA, MAUI, HAWAII – As part of its new resort offerings, Travaasa® Hana, Maui (formerly Hotel Hana-Maui) on Maui’s eastern shore recently debuted the island’s only hotel archery experience. Certified archery instructors who are longtime hotel employees and Hana residents lead the two-hour activity, which takes place twice a week near the hotel’s turn-of-the-century Plantation Guest House in Hana and is available exclusively to resort guests.

“We’re pleased to be the only hotel on Maui to offer archery,” said Karyn Johnson, program manager at Travaasa® Hana, Maui. “Our expansive lawn area, quietly swaying palm trees, and Hana’s breathtaking natural beauty create the perfect backdrop for this unique and enriching experience.”

The resort’s archery instructors were trained in the Junior Olympic Archery Development program and certified by USA Archery. They teach techniques to develop focus, patience, flexibility, concentration, and attention skills to help understand why great archers develop these simple concepts to heighten all aspects of their lives.

Archery complements Travaasa® Hana, Maui’s existing adventure programming, which includes throw net fishing, coastal horseback rides, bicycle tours, and more. Travaasa® Hana, Maui also incorporates culinary, culture, fitness, and spa/wellness activities into its extensive programming lineup.
